A catch-all feature that is activated for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters so as to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be exceptionally easy in case you’ve got a Linux hosting with us. You can enable this option through our advanced, albeit simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your account. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have set up listed in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly let you know if a particular mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any time. If there’s active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will receive a warning text message from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your consent.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A catch-all address can be created with a couple of clicks of the mouse in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name hosted here. To enable the catch-all option for a specific mailbox, you will need to click the logo with the same name, which will be next to each email address. Deactivating the feature can be accomplished in the same fashion and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning note. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or deactivate anything automatically.
